1968 Pontiac Beaumont Show Car Prep Car Detailing. Full decontamination car wash, paint correction, engine bay detailing, carnauba wax application, interior detail. The exterior underwent a full decontamination car wash, engine bay detailing, exhaust tip detailing, wheel detailing, and finally wax application using Swissvax OBSSSSD wax. A two staged paint correction was done to remove the swirl marks and buffer trails. Interior was detailed using OBSSSSD Interior.

We had the privilege to work on this very rare Pontiac Beaumont SD 396 that left the factory with a very rare 396ci V8 big block power plant.  The car had gone through a very detailed restoration many years earlier and the new owner wanted the paintwork corrected and some of the finer details looks after to give this muscle car the treatment that it deserves.

The Sport Deluxe (SD) models were equivalent to the Super Sport (SS) Chevelle trim level, and featured optional bucket seats and center console, as well as SD body striping and trim. The SD396 models are the most desirable Beaumonts today.

Exterior Car Wash

Whether your vehicle is driven everyday or is parked in a garage, the surface of the vehicle will contain contaminants like dirt and dust. We thoroughly wash the vehicle to ensure these contaminants are removed before the decontamination procedure is started. This service includes the full exterior body, door jambs, engine bay, exhaust, wheels, and wheel wells.

Decontamination Car Wash

Iron particles (causes small rust spots), tar, tree sap, water spots, and paint overspray are some of the many things that can be stuck to the outside of your vehicle. A standard wash will not remove these bonded contaminants. A combination of chemicals and or natural/synthetic clays are used to safely remove these impurities. After this, the paint is ready to be corrected or protected with film, ceramic coating, wax, sealant etc.

Paint Correction

Paint Correction, sometimes known as “polishing” is the one detailing process that produces the most dramatic transformation to your paint. The skilled art of polishing removes blemishes such as swirls, scratches, water spots, etchings, fading, and oxidation from your vehicles paintwork. Think of it like sanding a scratch off a coffee table - you physically remove the layers of wood down to the scratch so it won’t resurface.

Interior Detailing

This service is customizable and can range from a small detailing service to a high level, where we would thoroughly go through all areas of the interior to clean and detail leaving your car as close to new as possible. If it is a new car it will be left the way a new car should look when it was delivered. This may include all glass, fabrics, carpet, dashboard, and luggage area.
